The photo, Musician in the Rain by Robert Doisneau was taken in Paris in 1957. My interpretation involves a college student who is also a passionate musician. Like the original photo, the musician cares more about his music than himself.

This photo is an interpretation of BALLET STUDY by Harvey Edwards. I believe the rips and tears in the dancer's shoes and leg warmers represent the struggles and sacrifices it takes to make your dreams come true.

Intro

Black and White photos are simple. They aren't distracting with the colors and chaos of life. They capture our fondest memories and keep the people and things we love alive.

There are many famous pictures we relate with, whether they are our favorite band walking across a street in England, or the most beautiful woman trying to keep her dress from flying up, they can be recognized anywhere.

This blog is to take those pictures, through my own interpretation using college students, and to replicate them in black and white.

I would love requests of pictures you'd like to see on the blog.
